The Yokosuka Friendship Dance Festival is scheduled to be held every May in Yokosuka, a representative city that has fostered friendly understanding and exchange between Japan and the United States. It brings together various groups that work to preserve and develop various dance styles and Japanese culture, with the hope of promoting international exchange.
