This time, I would like to talk about the themes of "mental balance" and "society," and also explain why I chose the NPO format.
Last time, looking at the historical context in which I have lived up to now, I formulated the equation "Will" x "Ability" = "The power to believe in yourself", and using a simple explanation of physical movements in kinesiology, I explained that "internal forces" are "will" and "ability" through "external forces", and that the resulting physical movements are "mind-body movements". I spoke about how life is a dynamics of influence of "abilities" that are cultivated as a result of "internal forces" and "external forces" that allow us to either believe in ourselves or be afraid and deceive ourselves, and that "the power to believe in oneself" is the greatest goal and foundation of life.
* A simple explanation of physical movements in kinetic mechanics
Physical movement is the result of "internal forces" that are generated, controlled, or modified from within, and "external forces" such as gravity, friction, air resistance, and load that act from the outside.
Furthermore, "external forces" that cannot be dealt with by one's own "abilities" - especially environmental factors during childhood - play a large role, and if trauma remains, it may be difficult to "believe in oneself." We must create and protect a social environment that allows people to gain the "power to believe in themselves," and the foundation of that environment is a society where people can achieve and maintain "balance between body and mind." I have raised the issue of the need to change into such a society.
This is because I feel that if inequality and poverty are seen as one's own responsibility, the ``power to believe in oneself'' becomes more distant.
Another way to think about "heart"
Awareness
Individual autonomy
Introspection
Mentality
Interpretation
What is "society"?
community
Community
Local government
Country
Democracy
Capitalism
How to connect and overcome the problems of the individual's "mind" and "society" is a very big issue. And when thinking about "mind" problems, we cannot do so without considering "society." In particular, I believe that we will never be able to solve "mind problems" unless we consider the "still unsatisfactory social functions."
Currently, it is believed that dementia is caused by both mental problems and a decline in visceral function, and Alzheimer's disease was first reported in 1906. This was about 150 years after the Industrial Revolution, and 120 years ago. Dementia is a modern disease and can be said to be a "mind-body problem" of society and the various people who work there.
Recently, psychological counseling and mental care have become popular in Japan.
Anger Management
Coaching
Mindset
Self-care has become commonplace, and we can say that we live in an age where the "heart" is given more importance. However, if people simply receive mental care and counseling, and find momentary relief, only to be thrown back into an "unsatisfactory social function," what is the point of that care? Is it simply care for the continuation of this society? Isn't that care that is not based on the heart?
"NPO"
To roughly explain the reason for the existence of NPOs, they come into existence when the parties involved in a problem are unable or have low ability to pay for it for some reason.
For example, if you want to maintain your health, you probably know that the first priority is to eat, and then have a place to rest before you can work tomorrow. In cases where you cannot afford to pay for your future healthy life expectancy, the government will widely recruit people who want to participate, and an NPO that specializes in that field will take on the job at a reasonable price. In short, NPOs are a response to "social functions that are not yet fully developed."
But why would an NPO go to such lengths?
In this money-first capitalism.
I believe the answer is deeply related to "mind" and "society."
There are many thank yous in society, but they are simply overflowing with witty thank yous. The tendency to commercialize everything, the emphasis on making everything more efficient, the value of whether something sells or not. In addition, in today's society, "thinking (planning)" and "working (executing)" are separated, and we live in a society where anyone can work as long as they have a manual, without having to be themselves. This is an advantage, but it can also be said that this is a society that sees people as replaceable objects.
Are we experiencing true gratitude?
There's no need for a real "thank you." I can hear some people say this, but humans are born with an understanding of right and wrong. Abusing children is bad. Treating the elderly kindly is good. Humans are born knowing what is good and what is bad.
Unfortunately, when we compare the "heart" and "society," we always tend to lean toward the rationality of society and overlook the heart.
This does not create social friendliness.
"Shift in values regarding wealth"
What is wealth? From a social perspective, it is having someone notice you, recognizing you, and feeling that you are not alone. From a heart perspective, it is constantly examining, improving, and questioning your own standards.
If we don't know others, if we don't think, act, continue, succeed, fail, and understand the background of others and things, we won't be able to be considerate. A "society" where we can communicate with each other's "hearts" creates "mental balance."
Building "social friendliness"
No excuses
No cheating
Not justified
Not openly
Don't give up, move forward one step at a time
If there is a sick child in the East
If there is a tired mother in the west
If there is someone dying in the south
If there is a quarrel or lawsuit in the North
Think, communicate and work for the people involved
Let's support each other little by little to improve the social functions that are still lacking. Let's express our true gratitude to each other and create a friendly society.
To such things
I want to be
