Revive Your Balance with the Tool Tucked Away in the Gym Corner!
Hello everyone! I'm Hayakawa, your guide to the world of dance and rhythmic gymnastics!

As we all focus more on staying healthy as we age, there is one thing I want you to prioritize: your body’s "balance power."
What is the secret to "perfect posture"? What does the ideal balance actually look like for our bodies? It is when your shoulder joints and hip joints are aligned perfectly in a straight vertical line. Whether you are sitting or walking, simply being aware of this "shoulder-to-hip line" makes moving your body much easier.
The secret weapon? That "half-moon" shaped tool! Today, I’ll share a simple way to train your balance. Have you ever seen those "half-cylinder" foam cushions rolling around in the corner of the gym? They are called "Half-Round Stretch Poles." Believe it or not, these are the ultimate tools for boosting your balance!
The workout is surprisingly simple: just stand on it for one minute.
Place the pole with the rounded side facing up.
Carefully step onto it and stand tall.
Hold that position for one minute!
By trying to balance on a slightly unstable surface, your body naturally begins to seek out that sweet spot where your shoulders and hips align perfectly. This exercise is a great way to check your current balance level; as you stick with it, you’ll notice you become remarkably more stable.
In that moment... your shoulders and hips are... unconsciously... in the ideal position! (Please imagine this being read in a cool, dramatic movie trailer voice!)
Next time, we’ll talk about something even more vital: the center of gravity in your feet. Please come check out my Instagram as well!
